Kankakee 10 Mile

Our recent camping adventure at Kankakee River State Park was one to remember! Scouts embarked on a 10-mile hike through scenic trails, taking in the natural beauty of the river, woodlands, and early spring wildlife. The weather held up well during the day, making for a great hike and plenty of time around the campfire.

Temperatures dipped at night, but the Troop was prepared and stayed warm thanks to good planning and teamwork. On the final morning, as we packed up camp, snow began to fall, reminding us just how unpredictable spring camping can be. Despite the cold and snow, every Scout stepped up—working together to break down camp efficiently and on time.

This trip was a great demonstration of Scout spirit, resilience, and cooperation. Well done to all who participated!
