This past weekend, our Troop had the pleasure of hosting Webelos and Arrow of Light scouts for an exciting day filled with fun, challenges, and outdoor adventures. It was a great opportunity for younger scouts to meet our troop, experience what Boy Scouts is all about, and develop some core Scouting skills along the way.
Highlights from the Day:
Make a Taco Contest:
Our budding chefs got creative, whipping up their best tacos while parents voted for the tastiest creation. It was fun, competitive, and delicious!3-Man Sling Shot:
Scouts teamed up to test their aim and teamwork with our 3-man slingshot challenge. The competition was fierce, but everyone had a blast hitting targets and cheering each other on.Ultimate Frisbee & Football:
Scouts and parents alike enjoyed some friendly games of ultimate frisbee and football. These activities were a perfect way to burn off some energy and enjoy the outdoors together.Cooking and Fire Building:
Scouts got hands-on experience with essential scouting skills by learning how to cook outdoors and build a fire safely. These activities not only taught practical skills but also fostered teamwork and confidence.Hiking Adventure:
The troop led an exciting hike through beautiful trails, giving scouts a chance to connect with nature and learn more about outdoor preparedness and respect for the environment.S’mores by the Campfire:
No campout is complete without s’mores! Scouts gathered around the fire to enjoy the classic treat while sharing stories and building friendships.
